There may not be a great deal in North Stainley, but lovely country walks should be a given, please help get this reopened, to help more people appreciate our lovely countryside

It was hard to loose such a lovely walk , watching the field being farmed and it changing through the seasons was really beautiful. Being able to bird watch so close to the Ure was an added bonus.

I live in Grewelthorpe and hope to increase my commitment to local waqlking groups over the next weeks/months. Yesterday I walked up to Southerscales, the Limestone Pavement, about a third of the way up Ingleborough. I resent anybody shutting down walking paths and preventing us from enjoying the beauty of the countryside. With kind regards....Peter Ellis.....

I have used this footpath often since 1990 when I first fished with Ripon Piscatorial and I have run along this stretch during these years as well

This is a valuable & long-used footpath giving access to the River Ure. It has been an important asset to locals & visitors alike.

I used this path as a jogging route, also for a walk after Sunday lunch with the family. We also do a running club at school and used this route as it's safely away from the road and exactly a mile round. We miss it.

Have lived here for 30 yrs and though not been there myself know that many have in past and agree it should remain open as is or was are only now walk to riverside .

I used this path daily, a wonderful walk with plenty of wildlife, would love to see it reinstated, a real asset for the village

A beautiful walk much missed. It was an integral part of the village life, that kept community spirt alive. Everyone I have met feels a great sense of sadness towards how abruptly the footpaths where taken away, lack of communication from the farmer over the issues, the hostility shown towards the villagers and the brutality shown towards the environment. It would be great if we could get this footpath back open and it would mean so much for so many people.
