Save the North Park Branch Library from Demolition

Let's preserve this place of learning and memories, and keep cultivating Buffalo'so reputation for great architecture!

Enough mc buildings... restore, reuse and save! Makes more sense for a community space, rather than a quick buck point of view.

Please save our City's buildings! We need to preserve our history, not horde it and then convince everyone that the only option is demolition.

Do what's best for the neighborhood, not just what lines your pockets more.

I would sign 10 times if I could. Save this landmark building PLEASE.

This is a beautiful space. Please don't let Benderson put in another box building.

Safe this charming old library. Many of us have found me Or use growing up using this building. And it's the only lovey green space. Albeit it needs work. Why doesn't the city take it over and make it a small park and entrance way into North Buffalo.

No more strip malls!! That should be a library .fix the mold ! Hate the knart dangerous parking lot one .they lied about the Fairfield branch . if it had so muchold how could it be a condo?? Fix it and reopen it undo the work of that idiot out of towner that headed the library Chrus Collins brought in and destroyed us .I livevin central park and habevto go so far firva library in a Kmart drug infested parking lot and we pay the most taxes !

This is a no-brainer to be saved and repurposed......

We're losing too many historic treasures in our area. This should top the list to be saved, for all future generations.

The proposal to redevelop this lot with mixed use businesses is completely impractical for the neighborhood and the space. There are vacant storefronts on all of the surrounding streets at this one intersection alone, but what isn't found elsewhere is green space with grass and trees. The city of Buffalo is in the middle of a great redevelopment period, and that's a positive, but with this space it's the wrong move. Just because you can develop every plot of land in an urban setting does not mean that you should. By losing this corner to another strip mall, we would be turning our neighborhood into a further monoculture of storefronts.

This is such a great and unique little building! I'd hate to see it go.

"Americans are suffering so much from being in unrewarding environments" and the proposed plan is unrewarding and very suburban looking. It does not represent North Buffalo. Reusing the building as the library again or for another purpose would be far more rewarding for many reasons

I walked my children there for many years. One of the best places for young families to meet and build a sense of community. It's a shame the new library in that community looks & feels more like a doctor's waiting room in a sad strip mall. It was bad enough for the Fairfield Library to close, but at least someone saw the intrinsic value in keeping the structure.

This building would seem to qualify as a local landmark. But it also meets the classic definition of landmark: a structure that identifies and defines a place. The North Park gives an unmistakable sense of place to the neighborhood. The City of Buffalo needs to be a better steward of the buildings it owns, and should not be selling landmark-eligible buildings without deed covenants restricting demolition.

Such a nice building with such nice memories, it would be amazing if even if it didn't turn back into the library it could be repurposed for something!

Certainly this neighborhood deserves a library that is walkable and inviting!
