My child is struggling tremendously with online learning and failing all classes despite normally having good grades and only missing 2 questions in EOC exams.

The children need to be in school, how is Union County Managing and why can’t we follow suit.

Parents need choices.

Follow the science Wake County! Our children will be known as the COVID Kids in history as people study the sharp decrease in grades during 2020-2021. SAD SITUATION!

If Covid has taught us anything it’s that we need school choice for all, not just the wealthy.

We have a son with autism and an imp. We have had to pay for full time care for him since March of 2020 and this is killing us financially!!

Why are all major urban school districts open except Wake???

Cumberland county boe will not let the children go to school other schools around us are going couple days a week

Protests, superstores, malls, universities, and in some areas sporting events still occur. However, we can't send back to school those who have the fewest viral issues and the greatest need to go back. A pause to give teachers time to get a vaccine maybe, but help get our kids back on track.

Open up our schools. Education is key for the future.

Please put the future of this country first which is the students and their education so that they may be able to lead this nation forward. What is happening is a diservice to them all.

I have had to pull my son out of his 9th grade public school due to failing grades from not being engaged in his virtual school environment. There is no requirement for them to be engaged. He’s now repeating 8th grade at a private school over an hour away because it’s one we could possibly afford, and that’s a stretch!

Kids need to be back in school and if not, we as parents need and deserve help. You have held our kids hostage long enough.

I am a working mom and I can’t work from home (I’m a hairstylist) my son is adhd and doesn’t do well with learning at home. He needs the teachers interaction (not mine) he needs his friends to encourage and talk to. It’s a constant struggle every day. Crying, screaming, telling me he wants to be in school. I just want my little boy back. I have had to rearrange my schedule and I am loosing income to be able to stay at home with him for school.

Students need to be back in the school building. Over 10 months and still not a plan in place to bring all grades back into the schools.

Absolutely no reason public schools cannot figure out what charter schools have.....wcpss us being held hostage by ncae and their "cries" ........

There are many families who are severely emotionally and financially impacted by the shutdown of schools. The impact on our family is more of the former, whereby we have two young children with a genetic disorder and have special needs. They are not getting the education & therapies they need by participating in school virtually. After 10+ months now and no plan by the WCPSS, we have to consider other options to serve the needs of our kids.

If the local schools can't or won't open, the families should have the option of getting money to send their children to private schools.
