I believe Newport Golf Course belongs to the public and residents of Orange County. There are very few other public golf courses in the area making it difficult for residents to enjoy the game of golf at a fair price.

Please do not eliminate one of the accessible and cost effective options for golf in Orange County. This course is one of the few accessible and affordable for the general public and for youth engagement.

A few small adjustments on the course could go a really long way. I’m ok to pay a little bit more to keep this going. Greens are great right now. Fairways are a little rough but for the price, no complaints. Absolutely love this course and its staff.

There are not many public courses as much of Newport golf is privatized, and removing the driving range would be a huge detriment to the large population of golfers that do not have access to country clubs.

Do not rezone the NBGC. This is one of the last reasonably priced golf courses remaining in Orange County. Rezoning this course would prevent the community from accessing golf at an affordable rate. Don’t build a fake surf park. Go surf at the beach on real waves.
