Newport Beach is spending $200,000 to decide whether we need a wave machine instead of a golf course that is only 5 mi from the best surfing in the world. Stop this madness.

It's been a great place to learn and practice.

This is a fun local course and needs to be saved. It is reasonably priced, and there are lots of people that use it.

We don’t need more housing or amusement area, traffic is already way too congested.

Affordable golf courses are becoming more and more rare. A wave pool at the beach could not be more frivolous. Have you heard the expression bringing sand to the beach? Well this is bringing waves. Pretty much same thing.

All 5 of our children learned to golf here, as it's the only affordable option around. 3 of them still frequent with their 20-something friends, and love it. People who want to surf have the ocean, and high-density housing will impact traffic and crime.

New Port Golf Course is The only lower cost golf course around. I see a lot of young people and normal folks using the driving range and golfing there. For older folks and those with physical Limiting factors, You can play nine holes. Costa Mesa is almost nothing but high density housing. We need to keep our open spaces.
