They do a brilliant job for Londoners. Do not let Mrs May get rid of their role.

Our Safer Neighbourhood Team have been invaluable in helping to build a safe neighbourhood. I think it's shortsighted to get rid of them.

If they go there will be no community policing. Children will grow up without ever seeing a policeman on the streets

If you get rid of PCSO's you will not see any police on the streets.

PCSO's are the intelligence gathering and Community connection between the Police and the public. They could be redefined to increase duties /powers but to remove them would be a grave mistake.

If anything I think we need more police not less. As indeed I think we need armed service personnel. Very short-sighted to cut back in these dangerous times!

This would be such a backward step. Good PCSO's who know their patch are like bobbies on the beat. Gold dust. There must be other places to make the cuts. How many people's jobs would you just be stripping away from under them? Shocking.

David Cameron and the Tories should hang there heads in shame. The scale of the public sector cuts has been massive. And if anyone thinks this is the end of it your wrong PCSO 's today police officers fireman and other public sector workers tomorrow. It's going to be a hard few years . Well at least the millionaires get a tax cut.

To axe PCSO's who are the face of neighbour hood policing would be an outrageous thing to do! Not only would they be a massive lose to the communities but crime would increase massively because we would no longer have the eyes and ears that keep our streets safe and help make the public feel reassured!
I began my career as a PCSO before I became a police constable and so feel I need to support my fellow collegues in the fight to not just help keep their jobs but to also help keep the streets of Briton safe!
PCSO's should be valued for the job they do not devalued just to save money! The emergency services as a whole should be increased not decreased!!

If the mayor abolishes all pcso's then the people of London will not see a friendly face patrolling their streets. But instead will only ever see police in the neighbourhood when there is an emergency. Trust will be lost that pcso's have gained through years of dedicated patrols in the neighbourhoods they police. Tragic loss to London.....
