As a coordinator of a residents group in the Kensal Green Ward, I have had many contact with our local SNT . Our residents value immensely their contribution to the security in the area. we strongly object to the proposed cuts.

I think it is a mistake to axe our PCSOs as I think a uniformed officer on our streets helps make our estate safer.

Madness to get rid of most valued local resource.Gift on a platter for criminals and total let down of members of public who were promised BETTER local policing,NOT its decimation.Public rightly feel very betrayed and insecure.Must fight this out with Home Secretary and Chancellor!

I have experienced and seen first hand the detramental impact the cuts are having on our frontline services that the Government preached to us would not be affected by the cuts.
They have lied, and now it has got to the point that the Metropolitan Police are planning on dispanding all PCSO completely from its force in an aim to try and save money, that will mean there will be no police on the streets as the PCSO are the ones doing that the majority of the time because constables are tied up responding to calls or stuck in the office doing paperwork.
PCSO's also organise and run social events, they run programs to steer people away from crime, they are the face of our community policing, When they are gone everything we have all worked for all these years will be gone.
Our streets will not be safe, crime with spiral out of control and whats more, if this happens in London, then this will happen in every force in the country, and this would be social suicide and our personal safety will be at risk.
The police officers that will be left after the government have finished doing what they are doing will not be able to serve us safely or in a way they are required, because there will not be enough of them to protect us, and they will themselves be at risk where theirs and our safety is concerned.
They would have to take over the duties that the PCSO's currently do within the forces taking them away from what they are there to do as constables. We need our Constables and PCSO's and unless we dont stand up and protect them, we are all going to be seriously at risk and when we need protection and saving, there wont be anyone left to come to our aid. Save our PCSO's and Constables before its too late.
Message to the Metropolitan Police, if you do this we your public will not forgive you and you destroy your relationship with your public that you need, because without us you will just collapse and fail in your duties because if you turn your back on us

I have seen the direct benefits of Safer Neighbourhood Teams and an excellent PCSO in our own street. Serious problems with anti-social youths were solved by her excellent local knowledge and the hard work of her and the rest of that particular Safer Neighbourhood team. These people and teams SHOULD NOT BE CUT BACK. The proposed cutbacks would throw out huge amounts of vital local knowledge. In fact they should be enlarged.and given more resources.

Essential services should not be part of cuts and PCSOs are definitely essential. Ours, PCSO Charlie Charalambous, is a hardworking member of the community and valued by all. He must not go!

they need to stop downsizing on police officers this is only going help increase crime rates and more harder for other officers being less police on the streets and more crime
Save neighbourhood policing!
