Stop the cuts to my police force

I hoped after the 'Tottenham Riots' that the government had understood and 'lessons were learned' that more familiar faces in policing were needed in this area.

My neighbour has just been burgled and my daughter has just had the support of the neighbourhood community police to get rid of drug pushers next door to her house. Our neighbourhoods need police support

Another stupid cut which will cost much more money in the nearest future

Typical Tory cuts - they don't give a damn.

I strongly oppose to the cutting of London's neighbourhood PCSOs: it would have deleterious effects on safety and security

I am in support to retain PCSO. They role in the neighbourhood is so vital that they attain to the needs of the community they serve.

PCSOs are the last link with the majority of the public not just those who are criminal. Police Forces are having to slash budgets and focus on risk. The biggest risk to communities is a failure of trust and confidence in the police through response policing and a lack of relationship due to only responding in emergency or high threat harm and risk. PCSOs provide the visible legitimacy policing needs to police this country with consent. Gt need to protect this relationship through PCSOs to prevent future disorder and the lack of willingness to help the police in times of threat to public safety and security. Demand on policing can be reduced through the work of paid PCSOs not volunteers who cannot provide the continuity or build the range of relationships requires, particularly in the challenging communities we have.

I object to any reduction in policing resources in London Boroughs. It was a big campaign by mayor Boris Johnson a few years ago that he increased policing and now this is being reversed and threatened.

PCSOs still provide a valuble service to local communities and I think it is madness to axe all PCSOs without having a viable alternative to compliment modern policing.

It is a disgraceful mistake, that Boris Johnson is making.Pcso's should not be axed. They work hard to keep neighbourhoods safe. I live in the sudbury court estate, north wembley. Our pcso Charle, works so hard and is an angel in helping the residents out with any problems. It would be a very sad day,if he and others like him, lost their jobs.

The Met police budget has been slashed so much already and so many civilian staff got rid of that officers are having to deal with a lot of internal admin instead of getting on with policing work. To now also get rid of neighbourhood PCSO's who do such a valuable job in maintaining a visible presence and discouraging drug dealers, burglars and the like is ridiculous and not how I want to see money saved.

Any cuts in local neighbourhood policing would be false economy as fewer officers on the streets will certainly increase crime. We are totally against these cuts.

Britain seems to be shutting down.

We in Catford had a very good team, check with Catford Police Stn for their brilliant crime results. They knew all the locals (good and bad) and worked closely with our Neighbourhood watch group. Losing them and their knowledge will have a detrimental effect to the area.

We are already experiencing regular attempted break ins in the conservation area and there are motor bikes in Beckenham Place Park most weekends. We need a visible police presence and PCSOs provide that.

As usual, the government put local people at the bottom of their priorities . The visible presence of Police personnel on the streets is essential to maintainng security and confidence in our neighbourhoods and has been one of the few policing success stories in recent times . Remote policing doesn't work .

It would be best if this government took garden leave and left our vital national services alone.
