This is the only form of community policing this country has. To take away the one 'human face' of policing that the younger generation can relate to, will destroy what the ethos of Safer Neighbourhood policing has achieved over the past several years. This would bring catastrophic consequences to our streets.

People don't realise how much work the pcso's actually do
And how hard they work. Without them ASB would go through the roof and police would be unable to attend as they would be under strength due to all the cuts. This country are trying to destroy the police service completely

Neighbourhood policing, especially the SNTs, has provided a great way of supporting the community. PCSOs have proven to be an essential part of the neighbourhood policing model by building community relations

I really don't see how PCSOs can be adequately replaced

I am beginning to rethink my support for the Conservatives in the last election. This idea is a complete madness and a big let down to loyal supporters in London for a safer and secure life. Especially with the influx of foreign populations with little idea of our culture. We need bobbies on the beat to help integration.

Removal of PCSO,s at ward level, will be a big mistake and spoil what has been achieved with community Policing over the last 5 to 10 years and also take the lid of crime prevention.A retrograde step, which could lead to greater cost implications.

The Safer Neighbourhood approach has led to greater involvment of local people in policing with effective results. To eliminate or halve the PCSO strength would deal a blow to that concept. It would also mean fewer opportunities for people to work through that role to become full POs

We are protesting against decision to cut cost on policing.
Having neighbourhood PCSOs is making a real difference to the street safety and residents life.

I feel that the PCSOs do a good job and give a reassuring / visible presence on the streets. Any reduction in their numbers will be to the detriment of the local communities.

It is vital that 'the already reduced' police, PCSOs do not get any further cuts to their valued services. CRIME IS NOT DOWN - PEOPLE ARE NOT REPORTING CRIME. Thus the figures that are supplied to the public.
There is little or no present of PCs, PCSOs in public anymore & we all know that in their absence the public feel less secure & there is more freedom for crimes to be committed. Not all use IT (so this group is excluded), & not all can get to police stations or other reporting stations.

PCSO's are vital in neighbourhood policing and a lot of what they do goes unnoticed but what they do will be noticed when they are no longer around. Then it will be too late.

Valuable resource. Especially as ward officers
