PCSO's are an invaluable link between the community and the Police. What will happen when they are not there ?

The SNT teams do an amazing and much needed job. getting rid of them and centralising the police will waste valuable resource as local knowledge and contact will be lost

If neighbourhood teams go police will be reactive rather than proactive. Crime will thrive in this...

We must ensure that neighbourhood policing IS NOT abolished. Safer Neighbourhood Policing has been one of the most successful formats of policing in years and the dedicated Officers have been 'the rock' in bringing down crime. Police Community Support Officers have had a tremendous impact on reducing crime and supporting Police Officers and the community. We must not reduce or abolish the PCSO's.

PCSOs are now an important part of community policing, take them away and who will be face of the MET within these communities.

Brent is an extraordinary borough because it supports a large mixed population with so little help already from the cuts central government has imposed. To force further cuts in important areas like policing is to let down the hardworking people living in Brent by not providing security/safety measures against criminal activities that the wealth in London attracts. Wembley has just begun to change its face from average to raised awareness of brilliant economic activities. It would be a shame that when the need is greatest during this growth period that funding for security is being reduced by central government to destroy what took a long time to create. When will they ever learn?

I believe PCSOs serve an invaluable service in the community and have assisted greatly in the reduction in crime we are starting to enjoy.

I know this decision by the Government to carry out further cut will undermine the effort being put into making our London Streets safer. At a point when Street crimes are on the rise it would be a mockery of policing. Putting monetary ambition over people's lives this is an insult to the majority.
