We need to stand by our PC's and PCSO's. When something happens we are quick to call them and so the support must be mutual.

PCSO's are a vital contribution to maintaining safety on our streets and the public's trust in the police. Please don't let these ideologically driven cuts destroy something so important in London. As usual it would be the poorest and most vulnerable who would suffer the most.

We are fortunate to have dedicated PCSOs in Enfield and they play a valuable role. GLC Area needs more policing not less and it is a disgrace to see PCSO's as a weak target to be cut.

Community policing is an absolute necessity in an ageing society, and the amount of teenage knife murders in the last 10 years. Police on the streets would breed confidence in feeling safe and goodwill towards the police in the locale. Keeping these officers would also relieve some of the low morale in the force under the unwarranted ridivulous cuts by the past two governments.

This move would be a catastrophe. The force is already in trouble with not enough resources,to cover the crime levels PCSO's are a necessity to support whenever and wherever they are required. This course of action is only going to allow criminals and vandals an even larger opportunity and complete freedom to continue without being concerned about being caught. If any change is necessary then there should be an increase in the staffing levels. Doesn't the Mayor see further than his tunnel vision allows?

In a time of increased threat from terrorism and increasing population in London it seems madness to be cutting police numbers.

I think the Government should re think this, otherwise it will soon become open house for criminals.

Currently we already have a minimal police presence in our neighbourhood and as residents we suffer from unsavoury characters parked up and dealing drugs, cars racing from early evening onwards and gangs of youths screaming and shouting into the early hours.
The residents (some with young children) already feel scared and by cutting officers from the beat will just make it worse. Enfield was such a nice place to live but now!!!

I strongly oppose this move there is definitely not enough officers on our streets to prevent crime. The mere sight of the officers is a deterent in my mind. Please desist from this course of action. Residents are entitled to be protected and that is what we are paying our community charge for to be protected.

There are many crimes taking place on our streets. To take away the police officers off the streets would be a disaster. Let the general public be safe on our roads and in their homes.
