We need more not less officers on our streets. Instead of cutting down on our security, why don't you step up efforts to claw back all the money lost through tax evasion by big corporations!

Working in Social Housing on an estate in SE London, I cannot stress the importance of neighbourhood policing. Tenants and staff work closely with our SNT and in particular the PCSO. Taking a backwards step is not sensible

I am responsible for 2 community based housing associations in Greenwich and Hammersmith. Both have built excellent relationships and partnerships with our safer neighbourhood teams. PCSO's have been invaluable in building confidence in communities, providing local links and intelligence and I have no hesitation in supporting their retention. It would be a disaster and retrograde step to get rid of them. I think it would fundamentally change the relationship of communities with the Met Police and would set us back years.

PCSO's have done a fantastic job in my area by being a visible presence with masses of local knowledge. Anti social behaviour has been really reduced which must also prevent crimes in the future & it would be tragic to lose them.

With some involvement in the church on the Alton Estate in Roehampton and a coordinator of a homeless project in Hounslow, I can testify to the enormous benefit quick friendly access to the local police is. These cuts would, I feel, impact this kind of policing very quickly with detrimental effect. Access and support before a crisis develops is so important.

I am very aware of the very positive impact PCSOs have in reducing crime, often by preventing it in the first place due to their proximity to the communities they serve. Their retention is vital.

This whole area has been a quieter and more peaceful area to live in since we have had the PCSO@s. it would be scurrilous to take them away now and lose that protection.

Sir may I add my support to the campaign to retain the role of PCSO in the Metropolitan Police. These local officers add to neighbourhood policing and are a vital part of the community - please keep them!

I have worked in Somers town with the communities young and old residents. The area has never been as safe or perceived as a safe community since the local policing team were set up . I also live in the local community so I see and hear other local peoples views so I feel I' am in a good position to comment on. this. I am really sad and dread the future for my local deprived area especially without the local policing team

Adequate local policing is key to Camden's security. We need to maintain our current levels - not reduce them.

I believe that cut down officers won'tdo any good to London and it could improve the crimes rate...

So the only visible signs of policing will be cars at great speed with lights flashing!
In our Parish Churches we have built up relationships with our PCSOs which means they can help us judge in some circumstances what to do. This though difficult to quantify probably cuts down interventions at the next level .

It is unthinkable to cut PCSOs when the crime rate is going up. We need more policing not less, especially as the population is increasing.

PLEASE THINK ABOUT THESE CUTS. We already feel very unprotected in the Enfield area. The drug problem is already out of hand .We will not beable to go
out soon.
