From the McGowan Family in Isleworth. The PCSO's are the eyes and ears of our community, and therefore we must keep them. Without them we feel vulnerable and lonely. Seeing these officers keep us safe.
The idea to axe them is ridiculous, and should not even be considered. Find something else to cut - keep our PCSO'S

A ratio of police personnel is probably at it's lowest ever, this is short termism without any consideration to either the communities it impacts or the data/statistics. I assume there is no science or information about the spending of public money in an optimised manner, on things that matter.

This loss will cost lives. It will damage Home. It will let communities fall in to no go zones. It will open the people of London to an unnecessary risk. It will harm our Children. These Cuts are abuse prejudice against London and Londoners. It will break up the on the ground Knowledge, the key information that the PSCSO's feed into the police. Londoners will fear even more going out. Its an absolute attack on those Londoners that are alone , old, disabled and not able to stand up for them selves. It will remove those vital links. It will sound the Death Bell for the police in London. Crime come in the doors to London are open!!!

As someone who works in community safety for a London borough in my daytime job I think it would be a huge mistake to axe all the PCSOs, especially those who make up the already reduced Safer Neighbourhood Teams.

As a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator I consider PSCOs to be essential. The Met would be making a very serious error if it got rid of them. It would reduce resources in the ward I live by 25%.

I believe it would be a disaster to let all PCSO's go, we need their presence on the streets to keep crime at a low. The elderly also like to have someone they know to talk to about problems they have with teenagers and other aspects of crime

we need our neighbourhood teams, especially in an area like ours with so many visitors and such a mixed population - it is always re-assuring to see them around, friendly and approachable always
