For those of us who live in areas where there is constant tension with people drinking in the streets and parks, as well as drug abuse and problems with anti-social behaviour, the PCSOs provide a lifeline with sanity for local people struggling to live an orderly life with their families. You simply can't trust the Tories!

We do not want the cut back of pcso s. As they do a very good job in the area, and also in conjunction with neighbour hood watch, think that would not do so well in future.

PCSOs play a vital role in interaction with the public - who will be available if they are disbanded? With '101' system geared to batting off calls with 'it is not a police matter' there will be no police service left to speak of if the visible and reassuring presence of PCSOs on the street is taken away. Don't allow TM, Boris & Sir B H-H pave the way for private companies taking over certain aspects of policing.

Worked with them for many years doing what the community want in policing communities to make people feel and be safe. Such a shame so many great examples of partnership working with local authorities especially Merton borough unique way of working. Concerns that this will undo all the good work already done. Local authorities left holding the baby struggling to promote crime prevention and the concept of fear of crime. Please have another look at revamping this module I am sure another plan of keeping PCSO could be addressed thank you

The PCSO's in Croydon have been proactive in the care of the local community. They are often seen as the face of policing and have been very valued.
They make time to talk, interact and get to know the local communities -so important. Please don't let the government take away such a vital service

Presence of PCSOs are an important asset to the community at large, in maintaining safety/security and must not be ignored.
