Why is the council so convinced that removing the only source of places to go for young and old people to gather and learn the values of life, and learn to socialise with other races and religions.
Closing this centre will be a big mistake, as the local government and community will be complaining about a rise in crime and anti social behaviour as there will not be anywhere for the community and local residents to go to.

Great club for everyone involved and would be ashamed to see all the hard work put in by my uncle Ernie and grandad, dad and al the other coaches go to waste after building such a legacy on the place , I myself have been boxing for 11 years at this place and without doubt in my eyes the best club out there,

This gym has done a lot for the community, it's kept countless kids off the streets and given confidence to many who were once insecure and lacking in self esteem. It would be a shame to see this gym because you can really see the passion in Derek and Ernie who have put their heart and soul into the gym for many decades. From first hand experience I can vouch for the love and warmth you're given when you enter it's environment, people of all backgrounds are welcome and an establishment which is so welcoming shouldn't have to go through this.

I boxed for Nechells Green ABC in the early 80's and met some amazing lads. It taught me many great aspects that have helped me through my career such as self disciplin being a good sportsman and motivation to be the best you can be, I fully support the petition to save the building as it is a part of the local community that helps teach so many life skills to everyone!

8 years ago I initially walked into the gym to get fit but went and started to box through all the hard work put in by all the VOLUNTEER coaches working there, without such a place to spend my teenage years who knows what I would've ended up doing yet luckily through all the hardwork put into those attending we were able to be guided onto the straight and narrow.
For over 50 years, my grandad Derek and Uncle Ernie have put blood, sweat and tears into that gym as well as the other coaches who later joined. It would therefore be a shame for all of that to suddently vanish because I can guarantee the area will not have another place like it where people of any ages, race, religion or sex can feel as much like a family as they do here

I've only been to the boxing club once and I was pushed to the limits. And I have to say the dedication and commitment the team puts into their students is immeasurable. There was no confusion or beating around the bush. Rather we went straight into the action, which in my opinion is the best way to learn. Hopefully this petition gains enough signatures and makes a difference.
