Nechells boxing club was the best thing i ever done, it taught me disaplin, manners, how to respect each other and most of all it kept me off the streets and taught how to become boxer with the right attitude,
It just wasn't a boxing club it was one massive family with all ethnic minorties, made some really good friends made me become my best abilaties of becoming a good boxer with nechells green onep of the biggest boxing clubs in birmingham.
Dereck ernie and even cessal as the trainers and with mark holt now being a trainer.
Nechelles green boxing club should be given massive credit for what they have achieved, i walked in 32yrs ago and even now it is packed full of good hopefuls.
Nechelles green boxing club should stay open full stop. Everyone help and save this amazing boxing club.

The Holte family should be given the premises for free for the amount if kids lives they have turned round, I feel internally grateful to that family.

Dedicated over 45 years to this gym and seen many young lads make good of themselves in the ring and out of the ring.

This club turned my life around from spending time on the streets up to no good to learning discipline respect and getting fit in the 80s I've done my best to put back everything I gained from this club on a voluntary basis
It will be a sad loss to the local community if it closes

If you want to learn boxing and keep fit in a multicultural friendly safe place. Nechells ABC is the place to be. I travelled from Smethwick to Nechells to attend this boxing club. It is a great fun place to be. I learnt so much and it empowered me. It has played a part in making the man i am now. The young people need this, the communy needs this!

HOLTE Family have been invoved in amateur boxing in Birmingham since the 50's saving thousands of children & teaching them respect into adulthood , old school pioneers ," THE BEST OF PEOPLE"

I myself started at the club back in 1980,without that club being a place I could go and let off steam ,Learn my Ps An Qs.I would be in jail .
