This centre has been running in the community for many years and has worked with a large number of youth who would have been on the street possibly causing problems for everyone else in the area.

Why is it that another place for people to go keep fit meet people and keep kids off the street is loosing it's funding and will shut down. It's always good places that get the chop. Leave the boxing centre open for more generations of family's to come. Lets the kids enjoy doing there boxing. It's better than them roaming the streets. Atleast you know your child is with good solid role models..... Save the nechells green

Im a mom of two boxers used to train there .... its a family run who care about the boxers ..... children of all ages go and it keeps them well disaplined .....
Without these find of clubs there be more kids on the street causing problems as they be bored .

Amazing club! The staff do a fantastic job of keeping local youth of the streets and engaged in something they enjoy. To close this club after 60 years would be an absolute travesty.

It's my partners families gym and it would be heartbreaking for all if it was to be closed . Everytime I've been to pick him up I've seen how much the young , Middle Ages and even older people enjoy being there . It's nice to see young ones off the streets or at home on their video games and enjoying themselves in the gym , making new friends and taking part in a sport . I definitely think this matter should be thought through again and keep this boxing family together

Great club. And great instructors. What would the kids do if this were to end? I'm guessing getting into trouble and into crime!

Used to attend as a teenager with my younger brother. A great place to go to keep off the streets for the youth and a good place to train. Was planning on going back... Would be nice to do that...

Been here since I was a baby, watching all the young lads/girls develop into polite, discliplined young men/women. Not just a boxing club it's also a place for people to relieve stress through fitness and gain confidence in themselves. With 50+ years of being there it would kill my uncle Ernie and grandad Derek if the place was to vanish. So many upcoming talent with the boxers as well. Please help sign and share!!

lets sign this petition to keep Nechells Green Amateur Boxing Club in Birmingham open for the sake of our young boxers today and all future boxers that will come through its doors
