It is such a beautiful part of Natick. Would be a shame to lose.

There has been a dam in South Natick since the late 1700s. Much of the upstream ecosystem has developed around the presence of a dam. The ecological consequences of dam removal are not known. The advisers to the process appear to be individuals and organizations that would benefit from dam removal which biases their assessment. I strongly oppose dam removal.

I have lived in Natick my entire life. I can’t imagine the dam being removed. The Charles river area in Natick is one of the most beautiful and historic places in MA. Please preserve it!

The dam is one of the main reasons we chose to move to South Natick. It is a unique selling feature, the removal of which would impact real estate values in the community, along with removing a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. Repairing and saving the dam would be well worth the cost and effort!!!

The dam should be repaired, not removed. There has been no research done on the impact on properties downriver, which is where my house is situated. I advocate for keeping our beautiful South Natick dam, and for not endangering my property.

I remember almost crying when I drove by the dam when Covid first hit. Although I have never driven by there without seeing someone enjoying the beauty and quiet, that particular day so many people were there to try to savor a bit of beauty to calm their anxiety surrounding Covid.

There has been a dam there for 300 years. This dam is part of Natick history and should remain as a tribute to all who have come before us. If it really needs to be repaired - fix it. Don't destroy it.
