I have seen much larger dams in Maine restored quickly. Also the tree root problem is easily fixable. Fix & keep this dam !!!

There simply don't seem to be good reasons for removing the dam, and there seem to be many good reasons for keeping it. I hope that this process and decision are taken seriously and with respect for everyone it will affect!

The dam/spillway is integral to South Natick's appeal and an important part of the town's draw of tourists. Sometimes we need to leave historical things alone as opposed to tearing them down and erecting a plaque memorializing the thing that was removed, it makes no sense. I urge you to keep the spillway intact and remove as few trees as possible. Thank you!

Besides being the most beautiful spot in Natick and maybe even the entire MetroWest, the dam's removal would have significant effects on the ecosystems that have been established over the last century both above and below the dam.
SAVE THE DAM and the many delicate ecosystems it has created

Rarely do you find a place that promotes American values so much. Look at the children, pets and families there on weekends; the people fishing or kayaking; artists and photographers taking pictures or friends just sipping coffee and enjoying the magnificence of nature. Don’t destroy one of the main vestiges of Americana. Keep the dam!

This is Massachusetts, not California. We preserve and repair, not destroy and replace. One of the beauties of South Natick is the dam. Repair is an easy solution as contrasted to the catastrophic effects of tearing it down. Keep the charm we have now.
