Having been a lifelong resident of Natick, I consider this one of a few differentiating offerings of the town. On any given day families, friends and visitors enjoy this peaceful and natural beauty. Don’t be short sighted.

The dam is special, it draws people to relax and commune with nature. It is also iconic and the and the centerpiece of Beautiful South Natick. It is so ingrained in my childhood that I cannot imagine our town without it!

Natural history? Humans built the dam and spillway. Natural history would be to remove these human-made structures and restore the River.

Public opinion matters, yes. But there are also many people who believe that the spillway should be removed. Also, the voices of Indigenous people matter, as well as those of experts, both of whom are advocating removal of the spillway and restoration of the river. So what you’re really saying is that YOUR opinion matters.

My family was raised in South Natick and we were residents for over 40 years and the “falls” was a iconic place for us to grow up with. We keep destroying beautiful places that so many enjoy. Let’s repair not destroy!

Please repair the dam! For 30 years, I have considered arriving at this dam the highlight of a bike ride or other visit to South Natick. There are no others like it anywhere nearby. In what has been a difficult time in recent history, places of beauty like this remind us that there is something more to life. Let's protect what makes us special in Metrowest.

I can't imagine how ugly this park would be if they took the dam away. The dam makes this the most beautiful park in Natick.
