To remove or change the dam in South Natick would be a slap in us Natick Ites who grew up and raised our families in this area. It seems that those who want the change, have no clue as to history and town pride. It is a shame as I see it all around that it is easier to remove than to replace / fix. The towns around here have already destroyed the small-town qualities we used to know so they can make a profit with all these square ugly bland condo / apartments they are throwing up everywhere you look. Novel idea: Let's keep something beautiful and full of tradition as a dam and park. If there are any out of towners voting to remove this site, go home and destroy your own town.

I have been a resident of South Natick for 25 years and it would be a shame to lose this piece of history. It’s such a beautiful site.

There’s NO reason to remove the trees or the damn. Ask us why. Cornerstone Engineering

If the dam is removed, a stable and aesthetic area can have many unintended consequences as we tinker to control an environment of which we poorly understand. Leave it alone!

Lived in Natick for over 30 years. Brought my kids and just recently to the dam and liibray and we enjoyed the dam very much. It would be ashame to lose part of history! It is a beautiful place to picnic and just enjoy! I hope you don’t destroy such a lovely place.

Homeowners on Water, Lincoln and River Streets are at risk one the waters rise as a result of removing the dam. Those developments done decades ago were predicated on current river positioning and flow based on the dam's effects. The town cannot pull a bait-and-switch on those families.
