Please protect our valuable green belt. This proposed development was never suggested as part of the very recent Chalfont St Giles Neighbourhood Plan consultation.

Having recently moved to the village to benefit from a more rural setting, I am appalled that this development is being applied for on an area of Green Belt Land. It is not in keeping with the area. Traffic will increase, schools are already full to bursting and doctors surgeries are also extremely busy. Let's hope the powers that be see what a ridiculous idea this is.

To whoever it may concern.
This planning proposal is just not needed or wanted.
I live on 16 Deanway, where we already have not enough parking for the houses as it is.
I can never get a space outside my own house, as Bond House development was allowed to go ahead with 9 spaces, when some tenants already have 3 cars per household. Leaving an excess of circa 9 cars with no allocated parking.
Next door on the other side, you have also allowed ANOTHER block of flats to go ahead with 1 space per household, when each flat will have at least 2 cars. (Milton’s Head pub, that conveniently burned down,)
I have had my wing mirror knocked off twice due to one sided parking down Deanway, and have also had a parking ticket as I had to park off the street near zig zags, as there is literally NOWHERE to park on Deanway.
This is a problem in the whole of CSG as most are old houses without any existing parking.
This development is only going to decrease people’s quality of life and increase more stress to lives, by adding more traffic and people needing to use the already creaking GP surgery.
This should not be allowed to happen. People move to Chalfont St Giles because it is a nice retreat from other more urban areas, of which you seem determined to turn Chalfont into.
It has regularly been voted the best village, but by allowing all these developments, you are going to undo all of this and turn us into any other village.

I am against this proposed building development. The village is big enough already and more houses will only add more strain on our already stretched services. The village schools are already stretched, the traffic is too much and the doctors surgery can't cope with the amount of people in the village already. So unless the builders of this development can address all these issues I oppose this plan totally. Yours P Edmunds

What happened to Green Belt being protected land? The definition of Green Belt is a ring of countryside where urbanisation will be resisted for the foreseeable future, maintaining an area where agriculture, forestry and outdoor leisure can be expected to prevail. How can development of this possibly be justified?

The infrastructure of the roads can’t accommodate the number of cars in the area as it is at the moment, for example the road toSeer Green is flooded and impassable so potentially another 70 cars would have to re route. More doctor surgeries, schools etc also need to be built before more housing.

Infrastructure in terms of the roads, the schools the doctors just cannot support further expansion of people through housing. It is already impossible to get through the village easily due to traffic and poorly designed parking. Designed and implemented due to increased housing. To get a doctors appointment is a 2/3 week wait and child places are at a premium with ever increasing class room size. All of this would be reason enough, but I also feel sadden by yet more of the green belt, the reason I moved to and live in, this area disappearing.
