I have signed every petition I can in regards to this matter. It is so rediculous and wrong to put these beautiful dogs down. It serves no purpose and I feel so badly for the owners. These poor dogs have (and the Family) suffered enough having the dogs caged for 10 months. I cannot believe that these dogs had the ability to harm the pigs. What is wrong with you people in Michigan? You need your heads examined, seriously!!!!!!

It would be a crime to sentence these two dogs to death. This looks like a crime caused by coyotes rather than two dogs. Please reconsider and put yourself in the owner's place. Would you want your dogs put down? I think that $45,000 is unreasonable. The owner of the pigs should not decide the fate of the dogs.

Without extremely clear proof as to what actually killed those pigs, as well as an investigation into the allegations that have been made, it would be a crime to euthanize these animals, who clearly are loved and cared for. Bedford Township, you are looking like 18th century morons here! Do your due diligence!

Attention Michigan Courts: It seems apparent there is no evidence that these two dogs, Nala and Bugger, are even guilty of the crime they are accused of. They could have gone into the barn for safety to get away from the very thing (likely a wild animal such as a coyote) that killed the pigs. The pigs then likely perished because they were easier targets for the wild animal than the dogs. These dogs are law-abiding - they are property licensed, microchipped, domesticated and friendly. There is no prior history of any aggression toward humans or other animals. Their only "crime" if it can even be called that - was in running away for a bit of a frolic and detour! I say then give them time served for that. Ten months is a long enough sentence for doing something typical of any toddler. Do not let the owner of the pigs use these animals' lives as an emotional bargaining chip in an effort to get more money in recompense for the pigs. DO NOT let greed win! These dogs are harmless. DO NOT euthanize them. DO NOT punish them for an antiquated law that in this case is not even being used in the manner in which it was intended. Consider the legislative intent behind the law. Is this the situation the legislators were envisioning when this law was enacted? The answer is a resounding, NO!! Make the FAIR DECISION and return these two dogs to their loving owners.

This is just WRONG. I am so upset. This is totally crazy. LET THESE DOGS LIVE. The pig owner, I assume, raises pigs to kill and eat them? I think there is some underlying reason we are not privy to. Animal activists will be up in arms over this one. This is a disgrace.

Pods that are not aggressive to humans should not be euthanized for going after live stock. These dogs are friendly. PLEASE save them!!

This whole case is wrong on many levels. Even without legal training it's easy to spot all the holes! Either get a proper investigation done to prove the dogs innocence or tell the woman to accept the insurance offer and still free the dogs to their family. Am disgusted at all of this!

The plaintiff in this case is clearly an extortionist who appears to have local officials in her pocket. It's outrageous that the lives of these creatures are in her hands.
