Save music education at west stokes high school

If that girl is a band teacher she does not need to be teaching chorus.Especially because that first group she was directing and they were not that good.So if she has trouble directing the chorus she needs to only direct band.

Music is life, yo.

I'm a student at WSHS and I'm in another form of art at that school. We art kids are done a huge injustice. When the school has cut backs we are always the 1st one to be hit with them. It really annoys me because they'll say they care about the arts when in reality it doesn't seem like it.

Music is those kids lives!! Keep the class and have a good teacher everyone loves!!

I think it's sad how WSHS could careless about chorus but it doesn't surprise me after the downhill spiral I have watched this school take in the past COUPLE years. Hmmm, make a connection!

I am a student of the West Stokes Choir, we the student have been working very hard for the last few months to put this recent concert together. It has been a roller coaster of trying to stay on key, getting and playing the correct notes for our pieces, and attempting to not get frustrated at the difference in the choir education from last year. I am not excited to sing in choir next semester because I know we will struggle everyday to teach ourselves the upcoming pieces. I never thought I would say I do not want to be in the West Stokes Choir. This year everything has changed.

Save the Music program at West!! It's everything to us that were and are a part of it!!!

music is one of the most influential and life changing art forms, dont kill a form of self expression to further demoralize our future generation's perception of the world. all forms of art open up our spirits, and will motivate a person to strive for greatness and seek the reward of advancement and knowledge. I promise you, destroying or downgrading any form of art is doing nothing more than hurting the future generations that will travel those halls.

Students studying math need a teacher qualified to teach math. Chorus students need a teacher qualified to teach chorus. WSHS has let these students down

I started the semester off in this class and was highly disappointed with the teacher and the way the class was conducted. The first two weeks of school she was absent , due to getting the job and getting her materials together , which is understandable, but had us doing written assignments that didn't relate to our class. I looked forward so much to the class this year but with the new teacher , I was highly disappointed and switched out.

Music and the Arts are vital to an educational environment just as sports. I support students being educated and cultivated in a diverse exposure to all talents one can possess.

I'm a future music educator and know how important this is to all music students. Best of luck!

Y'all music is good for the soul and these kids love it and It's not hurting me any by signing this for them.

They deserve a TEACHER. Not to just figure it out and teach themselves

I recently went to a East Forsyth chorus concert and I was very impressed with the talent I saw, the opportunity to show off your skills that you were blessed with is really something to see, i used to live in King and I hate to see that West Stokes' program is in trouble. I hope my signature helps.

Please keep music at West my daughter is a music major because is West Stokes.

West Stokes Choir Alumni Class of 2009 pianist for the choir and helped get the grand piano that is in choir room my class was the first to raise the money we needed for the instrument. It will be a shame for the chorus to go away its been there since the school opened I know that it has been in discussion in past years to cut it but it is still going.

I Love choir and was in it while going to west. And I believe it should have a good teacher.

The teacher that is currently "teaching" doesn't need to be teach at all. She knows absolutely nothing.
