Dear Mr. DuRoss, I recently found out that Ms. Musso, who is an aid at Stevenson,is being laid-off. I understand that there is a budget issue, and that all of the aids are being laid-off, but what I think you may not know is that Ms. Musso has always been the heart and soul of Stevenson School. I am in high school now and she continues to check-in via e-mail and Facebook. She also continues to come support not only the kids that go to Stevenson now, but so many of us that have graduated as well. I perform in Musical Theater, and she hasn't missed a performance. She really shows that she cares about all of her students.She has given us confidence and self-esteem by making us feel important. We will all take lessons learned by her for the rest of our lives. To me that is priceless. It is time that we do something for her, for a change. When I was at Stevenson, she was the "go to" teacher for extra help. It's important to have her working at the school because of how good she is with kids of all ages. Whenever anyone needed help, she was always there with open arms.I would hate for the kids that are at Stevenson to lose the lifetime support that she has given me and so many others.
