Ms. Mac - a teacher who's first instinct is to immediately support and care for her students... helping them navigate the tough h.s. years, finding creative ways to effectively communicate - with always the best intentions of supporting the students - should be thanked and supported. As a parent of a student who was fortunate to have you as a teacher, I thank you.

Though her methods may be questionable at times, there is no doubt that she is an outstanding educator. She walks the line like a tight rope, theres no doubt about that. But too often people in the education industry who dare to be different and take risks for the benefit of their students, are pushed out of teaching, when the reality is, it's a teacher like Mrs. Mac that students really need most. Someone who won't baby them and and isn't afraid to tell a student off when they deserve it. In my opinion, if you were too soft to handle a little criticism from Mrs. Mac, then you are too soft for the challenges of life. I'm not aware of what the circumstances leading up to her job being in jeopardy, so if someone could fill me in that would be greatly appreciated, but if it's anything close to events in the past that has put her on the chopping block then there is no reason she should be denied the opportunity to continue to impact the lives of AHS students. Don't let another great teacher lose her job. You wouldn't only be hurting her, but also the thousands of students that she has impacted and should continue to impact.

Ms. Mac helped to make me the writer and man I am today. Good old Auburn, choosing security and complacency over innovation and inspiration AGAIN. You guys didn't learn the first time when the entire student body walked out of the school in protest of budget cuts?
Ah, whatever. I don't care anymore. Auburn, you're dying, and you keep making decisions like this. That's why I left.

I always looked forward going to Ms. Max's class. She was very passionate about teaching. She helped me to become a better person

Ms. MacGrory was one of the few teachers that wasn't afraid to change her style of teaching to get it across to the kids. She wouldn't have the same schedule for her classes because she would teach every class differently. She was an innovator as a teacher in Auburn high. I am forever grateful for having her as a teacher not only because of the things I had learned from her courses, but also the life skills and life knowledge she shared in her classes. Auburn needs a teacher like her to balance out the white collar in that school.

I love Ms. Mac, she was one of the best English teachers I had ever had, and by far one of the best teachers I had had in all 12 years in high school. She may seen like she has a harsh bark, but that's not true; she's one of the most caring, kindhearted, and loving people, that I have ever met. She'll stick up for you, no matter what, and shows you the truth; the real truth, WITHOUT sugar coating it. Being a senior, and going into college next year as a freshman is something that I need. She taught me that not everything is flowers and butterflies. She's the best in what she does and is dearly missed. We need her back.

She was so down to earth and genuine. One of the most helpful teachers I've had in terms of teaching me material applicable to the real world. She helped me immensely with my college essay and cared about me both as a student and as a person. I've never had a teacher as great as her and others should have the opportunity to learn from her as well!

miss mac isnt just an english teacher, shes an irreplaceable presence in auburn high. we cant afford to lose a teacher that actually cares about her students. miss mac taught me life lessons and her confidence and love for her students is something few teachers see as part of their job description.
