I was a student in Mr. Carnine's class as a sixth grader in 2006-07. Steven Carnine was one of the best teachers that I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. His door was always open at lunch and nutrition, and his classroom served as a safe haven for many students. My two younger brothers also had Mr. Carnine in sixth grade. I firmly believe that he would not make such insensitive remarks. 27 years teaching at an institution like Paul Revere goes to show just how great of an instructor and mentor that Mr. Carnine is to his students.

Shame on LAUSD for dropping the ball on Mr Carnine. A teacher - a human being who has dedicated his life to education gets sacked by some bogus accusation from an 8th Grader with questionable motives. All this nonsensical use of political correctness to go on a witch hunt, destroy a life and reputation for nothing. This is very upsetting and I hope that the overwhelming support on behalf of Mr Carnine will at the end set the record straight on his behalf!

Mr. Carnine has been and continues to be a wonderful teacher who inspires students of all ethnic groups. In the many years I have been fortunate to know Mr. Carnine, I have never known him to utter a single racist remark. It is imperative to show our support of Mr. Carnine and stand up against false accusations he is facing.
