My daughter is in his 8th grade history class. She was present during the class discussions of slavery, the Civil War and racism. Mr. Carnine was speaking about how wrong stereotypes are and how wrong racism is.

This is a frivolous law suit with questionable motives and unproven facts and it is wreaking havoc on the life of a dedicated teacher. With an outpouring of support from parents and students, it's a wonder how LAUSD can allow such a speedy dismissal of a man who has not yet been proven guilty.

Mr. Carnine was my son Matthew's favorite teacher in 6th grade. He would always eat lunch in his room with his friends . Mr. Carnine's room has always been a safe place for the kids.
