All three of my children had Mr. Carnine. He is an excellent teacher. The credibility, motivation and judgment of his accuser should be questioned.

I was in Mr. Carnine's 8th grade history class last year, and i was tought exactly the same things his students are now. He is one of the best teachers i have ever had and i have learned so much for him. I think he is an amazing teacher and person, and doesnt not deserve any of this. I think this was purely a misconception or misunderstanding on the student who made these accusations part. Save Mr. Carnine!

My wife was a 6th Grade teacher at Revere. She worked alongside Mr. Carnine for 14 years. He has been in our home countless times and my wife frequently socializes with him. I can testify without the slightest limitation that Mr. Carnine is the highest embodiment of ethnic fairness, decency, and adherence to legal standards concerning bias. The idea that Mr. Carnine would do anything to denigrate one's race or ethnicity is ridiculous and bizarre. It should be obvious to everyone with common sense that teaching a class about stereotyping and prejudice is not the same thing as believing in or promoting prejudice. Mr. Carnine must be restored to full employment status without any negative grade. But rather than focusing on Mr. Carnine, I propose that concerned parents and community members focus on the bungling, unfair, capricious, and outrageous conduct of Revere's principal and LAUSD in punishing Mr. Carnine before any finding of fact, hearing, or other form of due process. Evidently, Mr. Carnine's lecture did not cover lynch mobs. But this pathetic situation surely provides some excellent material for next term's lecture.

Mr. Carnine should be honored for his exemplary teaching and dedication--27 years-- to his students by LAUSD and the whole country. It is not hyperbole to consider him a national treasure. He truyly is once in a "life time teacher". My son, Kaveh Majd, who is currently in high school considers him as of his best teacher! He taught him about injustice, civil rights and racism and was more vocal against injustice. This truly is alarming and travesty that a twisted preception/false accusation of one student can destroy Carnine's nearly 30 years of truly stellar teaching and such hard work . Gross injustice! Where is Carnine's civil rights? Also to disturb and deprive all other students from the experience of his fine teaching is beyond belief! Please reinstate him immediately
