The police are now wearing body cameras I guess we are going to have to have cameras in the class rooms now! Our society is a joke! When someone speaks the truth based on statistical facts they are harassed for doing so. What are we teaching our children? Disregard facts and don't open your mouth because free speak really isn't free and that starts at the top with our current president and his action against people who have voiced dislike or differing opinions!

My daughter is currently a sophmore at UC Santa Cruz. Mr Carnine was her 6th grade honors history teacher and probably one of the best teachers that she has ever had. We still visit him in his classroom every year to continue to recognize the competent, compassionate and dedicated teacher that he is. Our family only has fond memories of this amazing teacher and human being. I'm sure when the facts are reviewed, it will become obvious how falsely accused he was! Shame on LAUSD for assuming someone is guilty before reviewing the case!!!!

My daughter is currently a sophmore at UC Santa Cruz. Mr Carnine was her 6th grade honors history teacher and probably one of the best teachers that she has ever had. We still visit him in his classroom every year to continue to recognize the competent, compassionate and dedicated teacher that he is. Our family only has fond memories of this amazing teacher and human being. I'm sure when the facts are reviewed, it will become obvious how falsely accused he was! I was an administrator at Revere for ten years. I was in Mr. Carnine's classes many times. He was and is a brilliant teacher. I chose him to teach the sixth grade Engli8sh and Social Studies honors class. The student making these accusations obviously related a very distored view of what went on in the class. I cannot believe that the prinipcal did not defend his teacher until an investigation proved otherwise. I hope Steve comes back to the school and finishes his career in glory.

The teacher should counter-sue the family and student for slander. It is completely ridiculous that he should have to endure his reputation and name being tainted by even an insinuation of such things jusr because some student chose not to pay attention in class.

sounds like the kid slept through class and only partially heard what was discussed. Then ran home to mommy and daddy crying "racist wolf" and the lawsuit fortune lightbulb lit up.. Sad state of affairs, bringing frivolous lawsuits should be illegal.
