It is a sad day when they cut a teacher that has been there for 12 years and has done so much good for our school and music program!

My daughter is in college now but Mr. Syman was one of her favorite teachers in high school. He was one of my favorites too. He’s so great.

Mr Syman has been a huge encouragement to me and my class. He has put aside his personal time and volunteered for his students. He deserves to be doing what he loves.

Mr Syman has been a wonderful band teacher! He’s taught me—and many more students—so many things that I never thought I’d learn. He deserves to be here, we’re lucky to have this smart and talented musician. It would be a great loss to us students, and the school as a whole, if Mr Syman left.

Mr Syman has had a profound impact on the musical education of my children. The music department brought us to Hudson and it is because of educators like Mr. Syman and Mr McCarthy that it continues to exceed my expectations. To remove his position is shortsighted and will ultimately damage not only the music department but Hudson’s ability to provide excellent music education.
