Mr. Syman is the reason why I played band in college. His love for jazz wore off on me and he greatly impacted me and my classmates, he also shows the importance of building relationships with students how rapport can truly make or break a student’s participation in band. He was always approachable and was so helpful in any way that was needed.

Mr.Syman has been a great lesson teacher and although I haven’t known him very well, he 100% deserves to be able to be a teacher at this school. The music program is often thrown to the side and we are left with equipment and instruments older than most of us while the sports teams get new fields and equipment more often. It also don’t matter if we book fields for HMB, we are always last priority and not given a second thought. Our numbers are growing even if the schools numbers are dropping and Syman is a crucial member of the music department and does a lot for everyone and loved by everyone in our department.

He is one of the most qualified and passionate teachers in this school, losing him would be a great loss.
