Studies show again and again that students suffer when music and arts funding cuts take place! Let’s prioritize our kids!

This would also affect a beloved band teacher at the middle school. Many students and staff would be very sad to see him go. Music programs are essential to the well-being of schools. We cannot continue to cut these programs.

Hudson's music program is one of the best I've ever heard of. I know many students who have grown so much as musicians and people because of the incredible music staff in the district (including Mr. Syman). Do not cut music programs--they're so important!

Mr. Syman has been a crucial part in my musical development and a crucial part of the Hudson Band department.

Mr. Syman greatly impacted my time in high school. He exemplifies the best qualities of an educator, in that he is both passionate about what he teaches and cares about his students. Losing Mr. Syman would be a disservice to future students.

Maybe one of reasons the country is so angry is that many of us grew up without the benefit of nurturing of creativity. Please don’t make this mistake!

Please attain Mr. Syman as the music director at the high school. This reduce music program disruption, keep a valuable person that the students have come to trust. This would also disrupt the Middle school program as well with existing teachers being changed.

The arts are a vital part of a school district and of students lives! Do NOT cut what is so important to so many students! Thank you

Music is an integral part of all learning! It should not be taken as just people who can play an instrument for entertainment purposes.

Cutting music and the arts will reflect poorly on the district. Covid has affected the arts everywhere. However, they are rebuilding. The current staff is amazing and these ”quick fixes” will lead to attrition which is much more costly to the district in the long run. The student participation numbers will be increasing next year and beyond. Don’t be short sighted.
