Keep this wonderful teacher. He has had such an impact on myself, my fellow classmates, and students from years past. I want everyone to experience having him as a teacher. Year after year Mr Freedman has had to endure this psychological dance with LAUSD. Enough is enough. There is a reason he has been at LACHSA since the beginning. He is a great influence and a passionate instructor. There's no reason he should be forced to retire or let go. SAVE MR. FREEDMAN!

Mr. Freedman is one of those rare teachers that teaches so much more than a classrooms lesson plan. He imparts wisdom and kindred to all of his students and has always been the students biggest advocate in all of their pursuits. He is LACHSA, and should always be LACHSA. To remove him would be to remove the very heart of LACHSA.

Don't cut your teachers. Find other ways to cut the budget. You can start with not sending out the flashy expensively printed mailers.

I was privileged to have him in NY back in 1968. He's still as wonderful now as he was back then. Don't lose a great teacher and wonderful human being.

Mr. Freedman is a treasure and pillar of LACHSA. Can't imagine why the school would lay him off after a quarter century of dedication.

It is absolutely beyond me as to why someone would ever try to rid LACHSA of Jerry Freedman. He's been a father figure to so many, and everyone's biggest fan. I can think of no other teacher who has shown as much dedication and love to an institution and its students as much as this man. I was lucky enough to have had him as teacher for two years, in which I was finally able to understand why he had grown so popular among the older students. His humor, good heart, and gentle demeanor created the perfect learning environment for students. Not only does he excel at teaching material, but he filled with stories and life advice that made the stress of such a rigorous school ease up. I have never seen a teacher more loved than this man, and by taking him out of LACHSA, one has taken the very soul out of the school. The fact that such a caring man would have to suffer while other ignorant, narrow-minded faculty members are allowed to remain at this school is beyond me. I'm so disappointed with what this school has become, and I loved it enough to know that it can be fixed.
