I didn't have the pleasure of having Mr. Freedman as a History teacher, but in my opinion his name is synonymous with LACHSA. He loves this school and is passionate about the students. I hope there is a reconsideration and that he's able to keep his job.

Mr. Freedman is one of the only actual TEACHERS at LACHSA. LACHSA accepts public funding for CORE education, but maintains non-CORE staff and instructors, while cutting the best CORE teacher they have. This amounts to a misappropriation of funding.

I have Mr. Freedman this year, and I can honestly say he is one of the most understanding and passionate teachers I have ever met. Please do whatever you can so that the students in the grades younger than us can experience having his class. Don't let LACOE fire LACHSA's biggest cheerleader.

It sickens me to think that a man who gave and gives so much for his students, who demonstrated daily what real teaching is about, has to be rewarded this star treatment after all his years of teaching.
Mr. Freedman has earned the right to stay at LACHSA as long as he wants.

I can't believe we're going through this again. Mr. Freedman is one of the most passionate teachers I have ever encountered and he makes the LACHSA experience so much richer because of it. LACHSA needs to keep him to continue to influence the minds of these young artists and broaden their horizons. Please don't make the terrible mistake of letting him go!

There is something not quite right about any school or district trying to eliminate a teacher with such an exemplary track record of making a positive and long lasting impact on their students lives as Mr. Freeman has. One only need look at the pages and pages of testimony from students both past and present to recognize that he is what all great teachers should aspire to be - loved and respected. I very much hope the powers that be wake up and recognize the mistake they are about to make in losing one of the greatest educators they could hope to have!
