The London Borough of Barnet are trying to close down this beautiful little estate designed for the elderly and those who need to be cared for but with independent living. They have told the residents they have to leave they will give them £4000 at the most to move elsewhere. They want to knock it down and builder a home for people with dementure. Now I am not prejudice to people with this horrible illness. But really should other people be put out of their homes. Some of the residents have lived there for years, And besides that we have a Junior School and a Nursery and Infant school right opposite.

London Borough of Barnet leave the elderly residents alone in the homes that they love.

If you agree with this please share with your friends I believe a petition should be started to object to this. I live opposite Morton Close an until today when one of the residents spoke to me I had no idea that this was on the cards. The council have yet again kept this very quiet and not told any of the local people their plans.

My nan lives round here and she loves it. Uprooting elderly people who have lived in their homes for years is just cruel. Leave them alone.

Typical Barnet council keeping things quiet as usual. Those folks deserve better than to be kicked out for some new development. Disgraceful.
