I think the school district should get rid of one of the multiple principals instead of other things at the school to save funds

The amount of scholarships that Moniteau students have received through the Academic Decathlon program is significant and it has made college achievable for many who may not have otherwise had that opportunity. This is not a club. It is a challenging course that prepares students for college and the professional world, requiring significant individual and group effort. Please take this program seriously and give it the resources it deserves.

This class has provided Taylor with the support and confidence to grow into a successful young adult. Through Decathlon, she has learned invaluable life lessons that will guide her to become a compassionate and capable person. Please consider the impact of this program and keep it available for all students as an elective class. This is their sport, and they need it just as much as any athlete needs their competitive games.

As a former decathelete from Slippery Rock and a daughter in the district, it is a lot of learning and should definitely stay as an elective to be able to better prepare to shine light on the district.

As a competitor of Moniteau High School in the Academic Decathlon arena I would like to encourage the school board to reconsider this decision. For a small school like Moniteau to compete at the highest levels of USAD is remarkable. It is also a testimony to Ms. Hershey and the spirit she has brought to her AcDec students. Keeping Academic Decathlon as a rostered course is essential to maintaining all she has built.

i participated in acadec as a club, so i cant fully relate to this issue, however, acadec is incredibly important to kids and coaches. moving away from classes makes it easier to cut funding and push kids away due to time commitments. acadec is so special to so many people, keep it alive
