I'm with 100% with the Mohatta Palace Bachao effort. In fact we should help make a movement out of it because this is the beginning of scavengers taking over Sindhs' cultural heritage.

This historic structure should not be converted. Authority can easily look for alternatives for University and other requirements.

As a former trustee of Mohata Palace I fully support it remaining in its present form as a centre for our art and cultural heritage so that our future generations can benefit from it.

And if it does continue as a museum + place for events, its board should offer more reasonable rates so that it may be able to offer a more diverse range of cultural and/or other offerings :)

This is the only real art related museum in Karachi and it will be a shame to destroy it.

We need historical places to remain accessible to our children and our children’s children. This is a heritage building and as a museum, it remains accessible to all. Pls leave it as it is.

Mohatta Palace is an iconic symbol of Karachi. So much work has been done to make it a place of cultural and artistic institution not only for Sindh but all of Pakistan.
