Why would you want to change something like this at a cost to the locality. If it's not broken why try and fix it? Or is there an alterior motive to moving the station

The training facilities at the fire station are already in place at the original location. The call out times will be increased significantly due to the relocation, putting local people's lives at risk. I don't feel that moving the fire station on to school grounds is a good idea due to the children. Also having a police station connected to the Fire station meaning that the fire fighters would have to use the same showers & cleaning facilities which would contaminate the police department.

It does not make sense to move the fire station to the edge of town where the response time is going to be much longer, the traffic on the roundabout and coming out of Queensway would slow them even further !

Leave it where it is. Best location for area and I hope local schools still take young children there to be educated.

At the moment it's in the heart of the town, the police station roundabout gets you to every corner of the town. But sheldrick way is in the corner of the town and will slow response time down due to traffic and other factors.

The station should not be moved. It's current location is central to Mildenhall and therefore ideal.

I thought the hub of any community was the town centre and we already have that, and the fire station is in the middle of the town where it needs to be.

The crews who use this station now and in the past recommend leaving it where it is for many reasons including response times and traffic. The volume of traffic alone should be enough to keep Mildenhall Fire Station from being moved to the 'HUB'.

Can't believe someone thought this "hub" thing was ever a good idea
Leave it alone
