Save Mildenhall Fire Station From Being Moved

This proposal to move all the community services is a ludicrous money saving scheme - Whoever has done a risk assessment for this needs to have a re-think. What is going to happen when the brigade have a shout during the school arrival and leaving times and also on busy event times at the sports venues. There going to be a mass of people and also car jams and also the issue with parents parking all over the place - putting parking restrictions is not going to stop them when they come to drop off or pick up their children. This puts all members of the community at a risk in a delayed attendance for fire and Rta's.

My grandfather was a firefighter at this station. It would be a great shame to move it. I know if my station moved I'd be very upset about it. You get very attached to these places.

Please leave this station where it is. It is not interfering with anyone. Some changes are not for the best.

As ex service ,and been on the picket lines to stop cuts ,it's important to keep thing's local and leave our services alone

Why not build new station on the same site

Stop closing fire stations. Availability should be judged on risk not need.

The proposed repositioning to such a inaccessible place is rediculous and not been thought out

Delayed turnout, delayed intervention by crew... people who depend on this crew, lives WILL change, from life changing injuries to loss of life. I sometimes wonder if local councillors just look at loss from FIRE statistics and forget the RESCUE figures. Well Mr or Mrs Councillor I'll give you a clue.... it's in the name!!! Check out everything because councillors the next death statistic on their patch could be you
