Ridiculous this is even a consideration by Parks & Recreation. A conversion of one of the Eastern Loudoun parks would be more fitting Ashburn or South Riding thats where this need is arising from.

The propsed changes do not coincide with the landscape or current uses of westerno Loudoun, nor do they fit the needs of area residents. These changes would be a nuisance, and cause great environmental damage to the area. not to mention a disgrace to the park itself. The infrastructure surrounding the park cannot support the proposed increases in traffic and it goes against the current traffic calming measures that have been put in place along route 50. The park that the parks and rec dept wants should be built in eastern loudoun where it fits with the more urban surroundings and where it would better serve the residents that would be using it. Bottom line; We don't want or need a park of this type in this area.

Several years ago, I considered living on the same road where the park is located for the reasons of quiet and dark night sky. This planned park buildup and increased potential light, noise, traffic and destruction of wildlife habitat does not belong here. Already the communication tower violates the visuals of this landscape. The planned buildup violates the history of the park—consider changing the name to reflect its historical importance to the African American community and keep the park as it is now.

Leave the park as is. Don’t add all that PAVEMENT for parking. STOP increasing LIGHT POLLUTION. Please give local wildlife and mother nature a break. Preserve this peaceful green space. PLEASE!!

This would create light pollution and noise pollution to a rural town. This build is more suited for an urban location like Bolen Park where this type of construction is already present.

This proposal is ridiculous! It is totally out of scale for the community and the resulting roads, lighting and building would be detrimental to the surrounding community. And, may I ask when “cricket” has become and American sport, worthy of our hard earned tax dollars? How many kids and residents will benefit from this action? Sounds like another group of out of towners pushing the “polo lifestyle” at neighborhood, environmental and taxpayer expense! Shameful!!!
