These lights in a rural community are unacceptable for surrounding neighborhoods and wild life. The infrastructure is not there to accommodate extra traffic (and we don’t want it to be!) and people coming here to play cricket are not local. Don’t

I would like to see Mickie Gordon parked improved to better suite the community and its needs. I support all sports but would like to see suitable tennis, soccer and baseball fields for public use so I don't have to drive 30+ minutes to take my children to practices and games.

This park was dedicated in honor of a man who was embedded in this rural community. To allow a facility of this magnitude on this rural road is a travesty of great magnitude. The lights alone will threaten the wildlife which is struggling to adapt. The traffic that will have to enter and exit onto Route 50 will break an already fragile and unsafe situation. This was an ill conceived idea which should never have been put forth in the first place.

As a nearby Loudon county resident we are concerned about the traffic and light pollution this plan would bring to the rural community. We support less intrusive ways to accommodate Loudon residents, that would better preserve the park and be more attune to the needs of local community and the significant disruptions this will cause to families, livestock, nature preservation, local traffic, etc.

I am a multigenerational loudoun county resident and I played on Mickie Gordon's last Babe Ruth baseball team. I care deeply about this place and vehemently oppose this redevelopment, it's a resounding slap in the face from outgoing Buffington to have a cricket pitch for stone springs doctors put in our back yards. I say bring back the baseball fields, or put in tennis courts, soccer fields, something to serve the residents of western loudoun whom get relatively very little for the property tax burden that we pay when compared to the ashburn side of the county, where, ironically, folks who enjoy cricket reside in droves. Please do the right thing and don't allow this to happen.

The scope and scale of this proposed project is incompatible with the surrounding rural landscape and would not serve the needs of the local community around Mickie Gordon Park. It would negatively impact the quality of life for local citizens due to incredible light & noise pollution, and increase in traffic. Certainly there are more suitable places in eastern loudoun where the CCYC Cricket development proposed, would be lauded. Thank You. PSD

This proposed project in its current form is NOT compatible per the 2019 Comprehensive Plan. The county kept the residents out of the process showing complete disregard for the voice of tax paying residents and those who will have to deal with the negative impacts to their quality of life.
