This does not serve the residence in our community. This type of facility is more conducive to our eastern loudoun county residents who will be using this space.

This is awful that the county would even consider such a large change to a historic park. These changes do not serve people of the Middleburg community but rather caters to expansion to the north and east. The dramatic changes to the park will have a lasting effect on the environment and the community. Protect the natural landscape and keep community in mind. After all isn’t that the main purpose of a park.

Keep Mickey Gordon Park as it is! No new development.

This park is a memorial to a black baseball player. Changing it to a cricket field upon a whim, dishonors the original purpose. Would you be do quick to change the purpose if it had been named Hank Aaron Memorial Park. Somehow, I don’t think so. The highway can’t handle the intended traffic nor does this community want the increased light pollution.

Please either put these somewhere else altogether where people don't really care about dark skies or quiet, or put them at MG with a gravel parking lot (very normal here in western LoCo) and no lights/amplified sound. It's OK for people to go home when it gets dark. Or come have dinner in town!

Improve what’s there for the immediate community. It’s original intent. Take your wickets somewhere else.

Please deny this special exemption. I don’t believe our community is opposed to shared use of parks and sport fields but rather the large amount of infrastructure that would be needed to support such a complex and its irreversible impact on the landscape such as the lights, additional paving and turn lanes. A large complex catering to one sport that services very few of the local residents seems very short sighted and counter to the wishes of the community most impacted by this drastic change.

Please do not turn Mickie Gordon into lighted fields.

The proposed changes to the park are not a good utilization of tax funds and ignores the environmental and historical alterations that it would cause.

Not the best use of this beautiful historic ground. Please reconsider!

We do not support the idea of turning the Mickey Gordon Memorial Park into a cricket field. We join hundreds of other local residents in opposing the redevelopment of the park into a sports stadium.

I strongly oppose the cricket fields and associated lights and entry modifications. Loudoun County needs to stop it’s pro-growth agenda and preserve what is left of middleburg and surrounding areas.

The proposed expansion of Mickie Gordon park is not in keeping with the rural area and should not be allowed. A more suitable location in the transition zone would be better suited and would protect this historic park, the rural area, and its inhabitants.
