Hard to imagine a worse for this scheme in that park. How did this even get this far!

I am in strong opposition of the cricket fields and associated lights and entry modifications.

The proposed conversion is way over the top for our small community.

Please please do not make Mickie Gordon Park a cricket based super sport plex, and destroy the important history which this community baseball park is, and which represents so much to not just the local community, but for historic African American baseball in our area. Route 50 could not handle a new turn lane and the huge increase in traffic and parking. We are a rural gem which would be ruined by such a mistake. With the greatest of respect, please find a more local option for our neighbors to the east who are the ones who want a cricket facility. Listen to your stakeholders please. Thank you.

Stop ruining Loudoun County, especially Middleburg! I can assure you, the entire nation is watching.

Nearby resident that will have to deal with the noise, traffic, and light pollution this will cause.

Horrible idea to change this park in this part of our county….do not do this ….historic park….should not be touched by 100 foot lights. Concession stands….loud speakers. And TRAFFIC on Rt. 50 We do not want three cricket fields and 250 parking places to replace a baseball diamond that has been maintained by parents who’s kids play baseball and softball there!

Parks in western Loudoun, like Mickie Gordon Park, should be rural and not for high intensity uses. The proposed light towers, road widening, and extensive asphalt and buildings would undermine the character of the Middleburg area. Hanson Meml Park is a better location. It would be more convenient for users, quicker to bring new cricket facilities online, and more cost effective for taxpayers.

We moved to Middleburg for many reasons, this movement certainly was never one of them!

This is not an appropriate scale of development in a rural district and the traffic burden on route 50 will only increase an existing problem.

While it is flattering the county has taken this level of interest, this community does not need a, “new” sport, especially one which brings more traffic and further erodes the night sky. First the two firehouses, now this. Louden County should consider enhancing this community, not eroding it.

This is a terrible suggested reuse of this space!
