Please don’t destroy this beautiful park. Place it more toward Sterling, Ashburn, Brambleton, south Riding, lenah, Stone Ridge - not in this beautiful rural bucolic part of the county. Or put it in Leesburg.

The proposed repurposing of this park is very poorly suited to the location. It would bring substantial traffic through the town of Aldie and along a portion of route 50 that would be very disruptive into the late hours of the evening. The night lighting and late hours would also be very disruptive to the peace and beauty of this area.

Mickie Gordon is the wrong location for the contemplated large scale cricket facility. We live a couple of miles away from Mickie Gordon and such facility in addition to creating unnecessary traffic for Aldie and everyone living along side Rt 50 would seriously impact our peace and quiet, with light and noise pollution. Plus, the historic nature of Mickie Gordon deserves preservation. Please find a more suitable location that minimizes impact on all involved.

Couldn’t agree more. The light pollution alone is enough for me to say no, and the argument written above has a lot of good points. No need to devote our only local facility to cricket only facilities. The folks involved could find another place to go in the area where they would be impacting the community and surrounding farms much less.

The traffic is so heavy on this section of Rt. 50 already that the additional traffic would cause major problems, the lights and noise that carries is not what this end of the county is for. People live in this area for quiet and peacefulness not lights and more people. This is not an area for this type of recreation fields. Use the parks in the east for this type of larger use!

Stop developing Western Loudoun. It is a shame what you are doing to the county. I have lived here my whole life and have seen so much change. You can’t even keep up with the roads and school, but you are destroying what so many of us love about Loudoun.

Please move this facility to a more appropriate setting. Dulles South and Ashburn area will better serve the citizens that will patronize this facility, it will cut down on travel (air pollution and traffic) especially on route 50 and will maintain our rural landscapes without spreading the light pollution beyond where it is already concentrated.
