Not compatible! Compatibility is supposed to be considered by county development activities.Sadly, just words of appeasement, rarely considered.

This entire idea is so antithetical to the feeling the area is known for! Also- to infringe on a dark sky area is unwise and unethical!

Quit erasing historical sites. The community needs the park as it is.

I have fond childhood memories of Mickie Gordon park from playing soccer and tennis, enjoying the walking paths and catching sight of the local flora and fauna. No one needs a cricket field, let alone 3. Cricket is a niche sport and interest which would aliéntate the community and only serve a choice few. I hope that a compromise could be made by installing one cricket field or abandoning the project all together. Keep Mickie Gordon as it is!

This field held some of the most memorable events of my childhood growing up in Middleburg with baseball, summer carnivals and more for our children and local community.

There are much better locations for this activity and this small rural community needs to be preserved.

Mickie Gordon Memorial Park is located in a low density area, adjacent to a small quiet neighborhood, next to a Town that has respect for the Dark Sky. This is the wrong location for large cricket fields with 100’ light towers.

The proposed facility is not in keeping with the surroundings and does not make sense for the location

Find a more appropriate (different) location for this single-use park.

Western Loudoun rural. Middleburg is the horse “capital of the world”
There are horse farms all around the park. Horses are exercised and ridden in the fields at the park every day. Put a riding facility here in the middle of all these farms. Put Cricket fields in north eastern Loudoun where the cricket players are.

A project of this scale is inappropriate for a rural area. People that live west of Rt.15 willingly forego conveniences that other county residents enjoy, in order to maintain a slower paced and more relaxed lifestyle. Forcing this development on a community that strongly opposes it and does not stand to reap any of its benefits is the epitome of political polarization.
