Save Mickie Gordon Park

This is a nice peaceful park in a residential area. Keep it that way.

No more developing

They don't respect what they have now, the place is trashed after the evening cricket matches, they lark on the grass instead of the parking lot (gravel) I pick up trash when walking my dogs and I don't even work for the county, it's never been this way. The park was beautifully unchanged and unmolested for the decades I have been going there, it's truly sad because it was our little gem.

My husband and I bring our dog here to play and we eat lunch there too.

I’m moving to Loudon to get away from what feels like the “New Yorkification” of Falls Church. I like the rural feel. I like quiet. If the cricket players have to have a spot let them go someplace else or play in daylight. For what to hit a ball around? Please save the money and save the environment. My family all vote. We will remember this come November.

Too much light pollution already, no body around here plays cricket

Let’s renovate the park that fits in with MB. We don’t need a work class cricket park. I don’t know anyone who lives in MB that even plays cricket. Perhaps we can think of the need of the local residents not those who do not live in MB

Any cricket facility should be closer to where all the cricket players are…nearer Leesburg, Ashburn, and Haymarket. The park has history that should not be forgotten or white-washed.

This tower is completely unnecessary and will be a blight on the landscape and wildlife of the area. #NOPE

From someone who was born and raised in Arlington Virginia. Don't sell out your county.

While I do believe the growing sport of cricket should be accommodated, I don’t necessarily believe we need to accomodate for it completely in our neighborhood when our neighborhood would ask for many more accommodations with this park. As our Mayor wonderfully said, it is our backyard - let’s treat it like one and help make it beautiful and usable again. Let’s honor its rich history and rebuild what has been built.

Please, this is so not wanted here for so many good reasons.

I think the whole community will benefit from less population, less industrial light pollution

Thank you to all working to oppose this. I especially dislike the idea of all the stadium lights at night.

This is a travesty to our rural countryside. Keep your city nonsense in the city. Go away with your ugly commercial development

One sport at the expense of soccer, baseball and tennis is unjust. My children play all these sports at Mickie Gordon Park. A megaplex is not in keeping with the historical and rural region.
