Save the Missouri Fine Arts Academy

MFAA was an incredible experience for me. It was my first experience living and working within a creative community. I became more comfortable speaking to an audience, I became more comfortable sharing intimate details of my life. This experience propelled me to art school, a decision that has shaped me in a way that no other institution would have. I'm incredibly grateful to MFAA for its influence in my life I think MFAA is particularly important for kids who are queer or just different from small towns in Missouri, which was not my situation, but that of many of my classmates there. It allows them to see a world bigger than their hometown whose expectations go beyond the traditional.

The Fine Arts Academy was a tremendous benefit to our son. It gave him the desire to pursue his dream and helped with his confidence and self esteem.

I attended MFAA in 2015. This program was instrumental to my growth as an artist and gave me strong guidance to my career path. The connections that I made at MFAA have been fruitful over the course of the last 3 years and have been integral to my career. The only question in regards to funding MFAA should be "How much?". This program is a unique stepping stone and can be pivotal for a young artist. I will always stand behind the Missouri Fine Arts Academy, its faculty, alumni, and students.

Fine arts are vital to having a successful and well-rounded society. It is crucial that we continue to fund the fine arts academy.

Shame on you Missouri for defunding something crucial in many people's lives. All deserve a chance at education in any feild they want and you removing funding from this makes you NO BETTER THAN TRUMP

The Fine Arts Academy changed my life for the better, it showed me what I want to be and what I want to do and it was one of the best Summers ever. Every kid should get the chance to attend, who loves the arts. The Arts are precious and needed.

This program has literally shaped me into the person I am today and opened my mind up to more than just the arts.

The arts are important. The arts are necessary. The arts belong in Missouri and all students should have the opportunity to learn and grow through the arts.

This is a program that truly made me a better person, thinker and artist. Art changes lives, it saves lives, and this program is something that so many young people need.

This program is a conduit for budding artists. It encourages growth as well as self-confidence. My daughter came home, more mature and focused than when she entered the program.
