I'm going MFAA for the 2017 session and it's all I've been looking forward since I got accepted. I'm hoping to pursue my passion for the arts and I know that MFAA will help me do just that. But unfortunately without state funding I can't do that.

I attended the academy last summer and it was an incredible experience that helped me both step out of my comfort zone and further develop my skills as an artist. I wouldn't trade my experience at MFAA for the world, and I would hate to see it lose funding.

I myself never participated in this program but have many friends that have had the opportunity. They said it was life changing and a wonderful experience. I hope many more are able to partake on this program in the future.

This place changed me as a person. The people who I've met here were a huge impact on me as an artist. MOFAA saved my life. You can't get rid of it. You just can't.

MFAA was the best experience for creative people. I learned so much about both myself and others through the academy. I made lasting friendships (including one of my best friends!) with people I never would have met otherwise. Most of all, MFAA showed me that I was actually talented at creative writing- something I had severe doubts about. Through the support of teachers, students, and RAs I grew more comfortable in my skills as a writer and as a creative individual. MFAA should keep its funding, as it is one of few art programs that exist in Missouri.

Missouri Fine Arts Academy changed my life and I would be ashamed of Missouri Congress if they deprived future youth of that same opportunity.

This program was so important to me and my career as an artist. It really made me realize just how fun my career can be and showed me the kinds of amazing people that I would keep meeting in my life.

The fine arts foster creativity, compassion, communication, comprehension, connection, and so much more, in ways that we take for granted. KEEP THE ARTS ALIVE!
