How is it that a couple of hours of shadowing in winter, when it most likely cloudy anyway, justifies rejecting such an iconic building that brings open space to the centre of the city with it.

Interesting Piece of architecture plus massive improvement to public realm...every planning ministers dream project. Unbelievably rejected because it will cause a shadow for 10 minutes on what averages to be the cloudiest day of the year in the middle of winter!!

Melbourne's rapid expansion must include a wide range of architectural masterpieces and this is one.

Fostering great design and public amenity should be encouraged and not condemned by one persons self interest and narrow focus.

This will be a missed opportunity. Melbourne needs to invest in unique, progressive buildings if it wants to retain it's cultural capital identity let alone reach the iconic status of other city's skylines. Save the Twin Tower project and help our city grow in the right direction, literally.

Exceptional design. Awesome park at ground level. Exceptions should be made if design quality and ground level space is above standard

The state of Victoria has to brave when it comes to architecture. This proposal is clearly well-considered and with the backing of CBUS, well-supported. It would be a shame to deny our city a quality icon because of the upside down river.

A landmark tower and a 3,000 m2 public park rejected for what - a mid-winter, 10 minute shadow nobody could give a ats about!!?? My head hurts such is the glaring lack of logic.

Keep melbourne moving into the future. No one cares about over shadowing in the middle of winter when its always cloudy anyway.

This awesome looking tower should have been approved. l cannot see how it could have over-shadowed the Northbank of the Yarra River or Southbank.
